What time should I arrive to the ceremony?
You can arrive as early as 15-30 minutes before the start time of our ceremony which will begin promptly at 3:30!
What is the dress code?
While your presence is what matters most to us, if you'd like to align with the theme, we'll be going with a classic cocktail vibe. Ladies, feel free to wear either a short or long dress in shades of champagne, beige, or taupe. Gentlemen, a button-down shirt (short or long sleeve) paired with slacks would be perfect.
Will the ceremony, Mocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony and SMocktail hour will take place outdoors on the venue's beautiful grounds, while the reception will be held in a charming open-air barn.
What will the weather be like?
Spring will be in full bloom! In April, the weather here is typically mild, with temperatures ranging from a low of 55°F to a high of 78°F. Midday is prayerfully expected to be especially lovely, with sunny skies and a comfortable 75°F. Since we're in Florida and on a spacious grassy area, we recommend bringing along some Zyrtec and bug spray just to be on the safe side!
What will your wedding-day timeline look like?
The ceremony will begin promptly at 3:30 PM and will be a brief, yet beautiful, 30-minute celebration. SMocktail hour will follow immediately from 4:00 to 5:00 PM, featuring finger foods, charcuterie boards, and refreshing mocktails. At 5:00, the barn doors will open for the reception, and we'll kick off the evening with a delicious buffet-style dinner. Afterward, we'll enjoy speeches, the first dances, and a dessert buffet, followed by an open dance floor. For some extra fun, we’ll have a 360 Photo Booth available for two hours to capture some memorable clips with friends and family! We’ll wrap up the night with a special send-off around 7:30 PM.
Is there parking available at the wedding venue?
Yes! Parking will be available as soon as you enter the venue. Simply stay to the left when turning into the property, and the parking area will be on your left-hand side.
Can I bring my kids?
As we have limited seating, this will be an adults-only event, with the exception of immediate family, members of the wedding party, and any children we have personally approved. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We look forward to a fun and carefree evening, where you can relax and enjoy the company of your friends and significant others!
What type of food and drink will be served during the cocktail hour and reception?
SMocktail hour will feature a variety of finger foods and charcuterie boards with an assortment of cold cuts. Following that, we'll have a buffet-style dinner showcasing delicious, authentic Indian cuisine, with butter chicken and garlic naan as the stars of the show. Since neither of us is particularly fond of cake, we’ll be offering a buffet-style dessert table, filled with homemade treats made by a few very special, hand-picked guests who hold a special place in our hearts (and our stomachs!).
Will there be an open bar?
This will be a dry wedding, but don’t worry—there will be plenty of delicious mocktails to enjoy during SMocktail hour! We promise they’re 100% as delicious, and 100% free of any regret!
Can I take pictures during the ceremony to post on social media?
We ask that you silence your phones but only during the ceremony. Otherwise, feel free to go wild! The venue is stunning, so take all the pictures and videos you’d like—and don’t forget to use our wedding hashtag, #SimplySmedley, on social media! We want this day to be as special, fun, and memorable for you as it is for us!
